Primary Health Care Research & Development

Since 2008, SAPC has been building links with the journal Primary Health Care Research & Development published by Cambridge University Press. The journal shares SAPC's goals to bring together researchers, educators and practitioners to promote excellence in primary care policy and practice.

SAPC membership subscription includes on-line access to the journal. To activate your membership, simply visit Cambridge Journals Online. You will need to register with a user name and password of your choice - select the Register for an Account button. Once registered and logged on, select the Activate Subscriptions from the drop down menu. This takes you to the Activate Society Subscriptions page. You will need to enter the Society's ID number (1254164) in the box, and in the second box put your SAPC member number. Finally, click on Activate.

(If you don't know your SAPC member number, click on User profile (Additional Information) to find out. If you are still having problems, please contact Sue Stewart)

From April 2011, each edition of the journal will include the SAPC Networking Pages: highlighting ongoing work and 'hot topics', with links to discussion pages on this site. The April edition features SAPC's new position statement. The July 2011 edition includes an introduction to the new Heads of Teaching (HoTs) group.
