Special Interest Groups

SAPC supports the work of a number of Special Interest Groups (SIGs). SIGs enable members with similar interests to identify each other, share information and ideas, and potentially work up collaborations around teaching and research. Ideas for SIGs come from the membership.

SAPC is actively reviewing how it supports its SIGs. Currently, we provide opportunities for SIGs to hold breakfast meetings at the Annual Scientific Meeting, and this year, are starting to offer SIGs the opportunity to apply for an annual budget of up to £500 to support their activities.  In addition, we have just launched a new competition in which established SIGs can apply for a one-off grant of up to £5,000 to promote sustainable growth in their activity. The competition details can be found further down ths page.

A list of current SIGs is shown below, including contact links if you want to know more about the work of a group, or wish to join them. Over the next few months, we will be helping individual SIGs to develop their own web pages to make it even easier to find out what they do.
