Heads of Teaching Group
The recently established national Heads of Primary Care Teaching (HoTs) Group represents the interests of all primary care educators within medical schools around the UK.
The HoTs group share SAPC's goal to promote excellent teaching, research and critical reflection on all aspects of primary care practice and policy; with a particular emphasis on primary care education and educational research.
Education remains both a core activity and major source of funding for many of today's academic departments. HoTs are working to meet the growing opportunities and demands for undergraduate teaching, whilst also recognising the changing landscape for postgraduate training. Multidisciplinary training remains a central goal. The SAPC Educational Research Special Interest Group seeks to develop the research approaches necessary to support this process.
