Executive Committee
SAPC Exectutive
The Executive team has responsibility for the overall strategic direction of SAPC. It is supported by the Heads of Departments (HoDs) and Heads of Teaching (HoTs) groups, and the SAPC secretariat.
The Executive team are SAPC members, elected or co-opted to lead the work of the society. Elections are held annually, and we welcome expressions of interest from the academic primary care community to join us. Terms are for three years, and may be renewed.
We meet three times per year, as well as at the SAPC Annual General Meeting, and hold additional “virtual” meetings in between.
The SAPC Chair has overall responsibility for the Executive, with the SAPC Treasurer responsible for finance. Other roles are delegated to other Executive team members. We also have co-opted representation from HoDs and HoTs, and observers from the RCGP and NIHR Research Delivery Network.
Observers from the SAPC Executive also sit on the BMA Medical Academic Staff Committee (MASC), RCGP Scientific Foundation Board and RCGP Council, HoDs and HoTs groups, and NAPCRG Internal Committee.
